thanks, because I was wondering. anyone know at about what size this becomes noticable? i'm thinking of gettin a jag if my sick O doesn't pull through.

Yeah, they can. But the patterns on that guy makes it a sure male. Can't wait to see when he turns on beast mode.

All male there. The way you sex them is just the same way as lets say midas. Females WILL ALWAYS have a larger nub between their anal fins. It's called an ovipositor and will always be more present. Also Females will not usually have dark markings under their lateral lines there has been exceptions though but very few. Females can look just as good or even better than males sometimes. Your male happens to look JUST like my Manny. You could Obviously tell male from female in my pair.

But I Predict that your male will look like mine when he grows up a little more. Maybe he might even get as much blue as mine. The male is about 9.5" in the picture and the female is 11" I think either way my male now is just hitting 11" and the female 12"
