Looks like a female to me. Nothing wrong with a 55 gallon for her as long as there aren't other large cichlid tankmates. And pops is right about filtration not being a replacement for waterchanges, but still, 2x 90% a week won't be necessary imo. More like 1x40% depending on tankmates. She looks like a nice fish
Thank you. She was sold to me by the lfs as a Texas Cichlid. But I just knew that wasn't right. She has 2 other Cichlid tank mates just for now while they are small.Looks like a female to me. Right now she is with a green terror and a Texas. I wasn't planning an housing them all together long termYup, definitely not a texas cichlid haha. What other kinds of cichlids is she with? Certain small SA cichlids would probably be okay with her, but if they are larger species it may not be a good permanent home for all of them
