Help sexing dovii

im going to buy a male dovii to pair to my female looking dovii, the lateral line fades sometimes and theres a big spot on side that's not fading when lateral line fades.

is this really a female?

That's the palest Dovii ever . If only there was such a contest. Why do you think it's so pale?

i dont really know, sorry, i thought its normal because when i tried to google image of juvenile dovii, the top images looks the same as the picture.

can you help me, why is he/she pale?

Ok..

Your water might be too high with the ph. Check that. Add drift wood to do that. A balance of wood and sand/gravels..

Then fix : lack of light in the front, change the white sand to natural colors, and maybe change the Plain white background.

Looks too young to sex. And im thinking the pale is just juvi colors.

I see no spotting above the lateral line or in the fins to assume male from that pic. How large is the fish? Usually at 3-4" you can sex them. Just going by that pic alone I'd say female. And it's pale because it's a juvenile on white sand and flash was used would be my guess...
