I'm sorry you lost him, we were too late. Once the lips go like that the desiese has progressed and it's a roll of the dice whather or not they can come back from it. I wish I could tell you do this and that and everything will be fine but unfortuatly I can't. I could only suggest once you finsih treatment try keeping the temp around 80. You could also cut back on the circulation (power head) and the air stones, you could do that now. Your tank looks good and is not by any stretch what i would considered overcrowed from that picture.
