HELP!!! Very Odd Acting Ray

Quarantine Tank
I just saw my ray do something I have never seen before....

I almost $H!t a brick when I saw her floating at the top of my tank! She was just floating there at the top with her disc arched staring at me! She did this for about a solid minute! She's doing it again right now as im typing!!! Her freaking eyes are even above the water and her "nostrils" are taking in some air. Only differrent thing I did today was a water change about 7 hours ago. I also feed her anchovies today for the first time today.

Anybody ever see a ray do this before? Any thoughts? Should I be worried?
 
Just threw in some pellets which she usually goes for but she is ignoring them....

damn, im not gonna get any sleep tonight if somebody doesnt let me know what might be going on with my baby!
 
uummm thanks Del...makes me feel alittle better, i hope you're right and that im just seeing and learning something new about my ray.

but just to clarify she is not hovering or swimming at the top, her entire disc is arched while she floats on the top of the tank stationary, its almost like her arched disc is creating a suction cup to the top of my tank. more worried about her not going for the pellets though...
 
yes, but not like a death curl or anything (at least i dont think so) more like she is flexing her disc to curl upwards.
 
i dont know man... thats something i havent heard of...... hopefully del is right
