What to do with a 14"x10" Pacu

I am buying a 125 gallon fishtankand stand for $250 although I have to take the guys 14" long by 10" high Pacu Pirahna, I know they need about a minimun 250g tank, and I do not want this fish. I live in Topeka, KS. The pet stores in this city do not even have a big enough tank set up for one of these guys.

I also do not know of any aquarium around. What can I do with him? I have some ideas (bellow) but was wondering if any member on here has had experience with this before.

(On fishlore I am up to this so far and need to know if anyone has a better means to this)

The very fist thing imma try to do is contact the owners of the local fish stores here (I personally know two of them) and ask if anyone of them have a personal set up and may want Mr. Pacu or have any ideas.

Next imma try to check the Kansas City stores, I've herd there quite amazing.Or the smaller towns of Manhattan or Junction City to see if the owners may have a home for if.

If all of that fails I will contact the NorthEastWildLifeRescue.com and see if there is any help leading up to my final try the Ohmaha Zoo and Aquarium a whoping 3.5hr drive but they may pick him up or arrange something.

Anyone else have any ideas that I may try to home Mr. Pacu?

Buy a different stand, or build one yourself?

i remember someone's parents eating theirs while he was on vacation or something. *doh!!!!*

but i do hope you can get rid of them.
pacu owners that dont have an ocean sized tank to put them in make me sad..poor things.

you're off to the right start.put him on craigslist. you never know someone might want him. just ask them how big their tank is and if you dont believe them ask them the dimensions. good luck. and please ignore all of the people telling you to eat the fish. when someone is worried about a fish that doesnt even belong to them and they're talking about driving 3 1/2 hours to save it, that is the last thing they want to hear. quit being immature. he just joined the site and he doesnt need to be left thinking we're a bunch of crazy people that eat our pets.

is he free? i'll take him. does he come with some lemon and tartar sauce?

only joking ya know. hope you find him a good home.

I think you are on the right track for finding him a new home. You might want to try local fish clubs, somebody might know somebody who could give him a good home.
