Hello everyone I haven't posted on here in a while as I was a little out of touch with the hobby for around 6 months but I am back. A while ago I was getting help on setting up a 75 gallon tank. It has been set up with filters and all, it has dark red/brown/black gravel, camboba, very little bacopa an amazon sword, and 12-18 inch manzanita branches all put into the left corner. I plan on getting more live plants soon. The tank is usually at 79F but I will lower it to 77F. I have one 125gal sponge filter for it and a tetra whisper 40. I recently had to discontinue my 20 gallon tank due to tank failures and was wondering if I should add the Aqua Clear 20 and Top Fin power filter 20 to the tank. That tank had 2 red stripe pencilfish, 3 silvertips, and 3 neons who were living out the last 5-6 months of their lifespan there. Due to tank malfunction I had to bring them into the 75 gallon which currently has 3 pearl gourami, 2 bolivian rams, and 1 5-6 inch green severum. So far they are all getting along well. I do 30-50% WC once a week.

I was hoping that I could change up the stock and
Rehome the dither fish
Rehome or keep the pearl trio
Add 2-4 more BR and up the number to 4-6 or maybe keep both types of rams 4:2, or 3:3
Add 1 or 2 schools of dither fish
Add 1 clown pleco
Add 1 male firemouth and/or 1 eb acara

In the end I would like to get the stock to
1 sev, 4-6 rams, 1 EBA and/or 1 FM (if only one I'm leaning towards 1/2 FM), 1 or 2 schools of dither depending on how much space I have, and 1 dwarf pleco.

Any suggestions?

i put a few of my juvi severum in my semi planted tank - no more plants were left in less than a week...

gl!

My severum seems to be odd. He doesn't munch on any of the plants only relocates them and digs them out but he will occasionally nip on them when I don't feed him.

All of the stocking is safe with the sev.
I agree that plants are likely to become food eventually.

Any suggestions for stocking?

1st stock
1 sev
2 angels
5-6 gbr or bolivian ram
1-2 clown or 1 bn pleco
10-12 tetra

2nd stock
1 sev
1 firemouth (or scrap the rams and do 3-4 fm)
12-15 tetra
1-3 pictus cat
5 bolivian ram

First one is geographically correct, but I think the second will be a more fun and interesting setup as is.

thats what i thought too but should I do trio of fm or one fm and bolivians? if I do bolivians i cant do pictus cats
