well in the past i have used that rolls of paper that you line the inside of kitchen drawers with-i found a good black one and just taped the edges. if it got wet it didnt damage it. i wouldnt use paper-it will warp, fade and just look crappy.
alot of ppl paint the outside backs of the tanks-if you can do that thats what i would do..
