Help with damaged flowerhorn please!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've got in this situation several time, no need to worry! keep water clean, more salt, do salt water bathing 30 min a day( 1-2 table spoon per gallon) or you can use Antibiotic medicine on wounds after salt water bathing (need to be careful when doing this because some medicine can have some bad effects on the fish and I'm not sure about U.K. medicines). Good luck!

penicillin and tetracycline seem to be easy to use and find! they can be add to salt water when do salt water bathing but I don't remember how much you should put in the water!

Added salt to the tank this morning, also found that there is less "fungus"/fluffy white stuff on his wound, hopefully that will just come off.
But apart from that he seems to be ok for the time being.

Thanks for help and support guys,
Swarsh

Update:

Flowerhorn died last night at 3am, went down to check him and found that he was dead.
I've tried and done all I could but I guess that wasn't enough to save him...

Thanks for all the help guys,
Swarsh
