went fishin on friday. got a tiny LMB. about 2.5-3". put it in my pond thinkin it'd be OK. it swimms around for a few seconds then one of the GS starts following it... ...then the biggest koi Notices it:nilly: ...then all the other fish notice the lil guy and now i got a train goin in a circle around the pond with a terrified baby bass as the leader  , was quite a sight. ive got several little fathead minners in there that have been there since i built it, so im not worried about it getting eatin, but the bluegill and those minners especially better watch out come spring. :D

so ya.... if i can get a camera to work, or ill go buy one in a week. ill get pics of the lil guy....if i can net 'em:grinno:

Aren't largemouth bass quite the killers? Won't it attack/kill everything once its settled into the pond and defined itself a territory to defend?

Did you quarentine it at all before putting it into the pond? Another member here had the bad luck of catching a wild fish which then got black spot, a highly infectious parasite more common in wild caught fish...

ive never had a problem with bass. just keep 'em fed and no problems really. most likely he'll be transfered to a pool "pond", then in the 1350 he goes.

Largemouth bass are not that aggressive. Puppies compared to some cichlid's I've owned.
