Help with newly introduced Motoro stingray. !!

Sorry for your loss

Treat the aged water with Prime or AquaScience and put some coral chips in your tank to buffer the PH.

Thank you, kind of upset with myself letting this happen. I guess all we can do is learn from this mistakes and not let them happen again. Is there a pros or cons in me having 6.0 PH compared to a normal 7.0PH for tropical fish? does it affect anything on my fish? im not sure why my PH is so low, my tank has no tannins at all.

Losing a fish always sucks ass. I've been there a few times myself.

PH levels drops once it's stablalizes and it can cause stress to your fish if there's a constant ph swing. To avoid this just add some coral to your tank to keep it from swimming.

If you decide to get another ray try a slow drip method to get her acclimated to your tanks water parameters, and practice proper water management since you know high ammonia is coming from your tap. Is AquaScience available in your area? It says it "removes" ammonia instead of binding it to make it less harmful. I use prime to treat my age water (just a habit), and use aquascience when I w/c. I do 25% every 3 days religiously because I have 10 Rays in a 833 and I feed twice a day. You can imagine how high the bio is (these are pups so there's plenty of room for now)

Let me know before you get another one and we'll make sure everything is perfect before introducing her to your tank

Well i appreciate the help i received from everyone, i will for sure take a lot of you guys advice into account. Ill look and see if my local fish store carries AquaScience and ill give it a try, i think the only way i can do water changes with my high ammonia in my tap water is aging the water in my 55 G brute, then treating the water before it goes in the tank. I will never pour water straight from tap into the tank and then treating it again. Maybe next time ill purchase my ray from you guys rather than some where else, even thou her death was caused by high ammonia levels, not quality of specimen.
