We are allowed to get a 55 but I think I am going to stretch it to 75/150 because there are a bunch on Craigslist...
Hello; A couple of points about buying a used tank. First is that it be clean. I bought one in dirty condition and after I cleaned it up discovered the glass was scratched badly.
While seeing a tank full of water is good in terms of checking leaks, my guess is most will be empty. You should plan to set it up in a place to check for leaks before filling it inside.

he will barely afford the tank.
Hello; May I suggest you consider the smaller tanks if money is tight. A bigger tank generally costs more and the equipment to set it up can be more. Operating cost can be more.

Yes I understand this... My 55 was a used aquarium and is was a pain in the behind to clean... then I went and bought some CLR and it cleaned up like a charm. Yes most of the tanks that I am considering are running with fish. Basically I want a breeding stock advice please

Maybe eventually... I just want to familiarize myself with breeding and want to try Cichlids (Prefereably Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlids)
Plus they can bring in like $3 each baby

Only advise i can give you is learn how to hatch daphina eggs, since once you start breeding fish, you'll need a constant supply yo feed the fry for a little while...

Ok will do some research on that
Thanks
