How funny, I got 2 badly injured 10" EBJDs awhile ago too! One died and the other is doing beastly! Wish I woulda saw this thread earlier.

Yeah...pretty crazy...i just cant believe how quickly it happened. Two weeks ago I was starting to think about pairing them off again.

I'd need more pics but I'm almost positive that those aren't ebjd's. Look like nice regular jd's to me
Edit: I'm dumb and just caught that the last ones were BGJD's

If EBJD's are UR fish of choice try and get the best bred stock you can find. My humble opinion is the inbreed in these is part of the problem.

Definitely agree Kosta! Luckily neither were top fish of mine...they were a rescue case from a poor breeder...i have two other ebjd's that are far superior.
