A 5g water change in 40g of water will be more stable then anything that can be accomplished in a freaking 10g tank.

well if you are doing 5g water changes in a 10g thats a whole different problem.

I rather keep an aro in a 10g that is planted (easier to light/manage) than a 40g and since he is getting a baby silver it will last him a good while so he can then move on to the 40g where the silver knows if he comes close = feeding time.

 You blast others for not reading, yet you seem to be lacking in that aspect yourself:screwy:

i read your whole post no point in responding to the bloodworm comment since it is clearly easier to feed when the tank is smaller so you dont have freeze dried bloodworms all over the surface.

and i blast on others for not reading so they dont jump to conclusions such as "a 10g? no wonder your aros died" kind of comments.

Why would you have blood worms all over the surface, unless you are unable to control the amount you feed:screwy: The tank suggested is a 55 gallon, with a sponge filter, equals no surface current. The few blood worms don't move much and are easily removed if uneaten.

Say what you will, water parameters are more stable in a larger tank. Also with the suggested setup, when the small aro jumps it will not hit the top.

When you say "people" it is plural, since I am the post directly above your POS comment I take offense to that. Maybe in the future you should be specific as to whom you are directing your comments too:irked:

Hmm okay. Looks like everythigs answered. Can you guys share how much baby silver aros are going are ur LFS? Here is 25USD seems like price went up on it since few years ago.

$25 for a baby silver? That's expensive. I can have baby silver for $6, but I'm from the Philippines. Fish are cheap here. For the tank I suggest that you get a 75g tank which can house the silver for about 1-2 years to prevent stressing the fish.

if you mean species then 6 including african
