whats up with my fish????
all the new fish ive been getting suddenly turn out like this.:irked::irked::irked:
the slime appears on the eyes first, then the fins, and then the body.
they act normal for 1 or 2 days, eating and everything, then all of the sudden they die.
water params are fine.
ph is about 6.8.
ive been doing regular 40 percent water changes since its started happening.
all fish that got it were NEW.
all fish that were in the tank for a longer time were and are totally fine.
6 temensis have been in there for a few months no problems.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

what are your exact water params? i know the stocklist, size etc. and i hate to say it but you are severely overstocked.

I dont know but just throwing ideas out there....
do you clean the gravel every water change (atleast often)??

very rarely.:D
but the problem is,how come every fish that is NEW is getting it?
and not the baby pbass?
im pretty sure TSN,oscar and acaras are hardier than baby pbass.

My Plecos eyes had the same problem... his eyes were turning cloudy... Do a little research on the forum under disease for cloudy eye <<< i think that is what it is called it might have to do with the temp of the water

for some reason it only affects new fish.
one of the acaras looks like its healing up.
my temp. is at 30 degrees celcius.

...yo...bro...hmm....maybe its just a bad batch of fish. i doubt its a ph shock. probably a latent problem with the batch. all those geophagus....look bad. damn...

might not be...
these were from c328.
the oscar and TSN were from polyart and the same thing happened to them.
im pretty sure its not the batch of fish.

This obviously comes too late, but do you quarantine with salt and elevated temp? That might help next time. Have you tried Melafix?
