No kidding! Thouse infected fingers can also be a real prob. The poor thing

sounds like its in real rough shape. the fingers have me worried but so do the swollen mouth as well. you may have to hand feed for a while if his mouth has any sort of infection beyond what the MBD is causing

you may have to make some calls and find a vet. maybe some place deals with reps and you just dont know. ive had that happen a few times when my igg wasnt doing great. you might get lucky.

Sorry it took so long to post some pics I never could find the cord to put them onto my computer so I had to use the crap camera so sorry for the poor quality and the last 2 pics are of the enclosure she had this guy in and how dirty it was.:irked:

Yup classic MBD. I gess you already know what to do;) Uv ligth(get a nice 5.0 one from zoomed), lots of dark leafy greens, zoomeds reptivite, basking ligths and when ever possible sun baths will clear that out:) What kind of setup are you using?

x2

i would add some liquid calcium and also use powdered calcium, use both. one with vit. D3 and one without

I feel really guilty right now I have it in 29 gallon but this is only until I know it is healthy and I can put in a bigger enclosure with my other herps until then I just dont want to have to worry about it spreading stuff to everyone else. And I will pick up some of the liquid calcium this weekend at work. Any suggestions for the toes that are infected? I tried taking some pics earlier but they were horrible. Would it be safe to use antibiotic ointment or not?

To treat a sick ig a aquarium is fine;) Just make sure is big enough and the ig can turn around with no probs. Put some flat rocks, logs and fake plants for hidding places and so that he´s got something to look at and do. As for its toes is really hard to tell. From shedding problems to a true infection many things can be. It would be really better that you showed that to a vet. If i lived there I would fix it easily, but being this side of the screen is really hard to say and do something about it. At least try to take good pics of it

you can use antibiotic ointment. but it wont clear the whole infection up. you could try giving him a bath with iodine in it. dont mix it to strong but that will help with infection as well

Tomorrow I will try and get some decent pics of his toes if not I will try and borrow my friends camera. I am not seeing any dry shed left on him I gave him a warm bath earlier and some of the gunk came of of his toes what was real irritating was when I first got him home there were dried feces on them. But I will give hi the iodine bath and put some ointment on and if it doesnt help start the search for the nearest vet.
Thanks for the help.
