yea i didnt mean undergravel lol. they get stinky, but i meant sponge filter for more O2 in the water. airpumps always help with fish activity. more oxygen more activity.

I think you need to discuss with him why he doesn't want to keep fish and your reasons for wanting to keep fish. A medium sized tank stocked with a few hardy tropicals is quite easy to maintain with proper filtration and if this is done properly, smell isn't an issue at all. I don't think it would be a good idea to go and do it without his okay but in saying that, it's not fair for him to completely knock back your idea without discussing it first. Relationships are about compromise.

Heres what you do.You tell hime look i wanna get a 150 gal tank.Hes says,WHAT!Then you talk him down to your 55 Gal tank and walla problem solved.Then later when he see you taking care of it, you get you other 5 tanks.LOLJust tell him to and dont be a baby.He will get over it.Whos buying it you or him?

Someone brought up the idea on a different thread of starting a dating forum on here so all us fish lovers can find other fish lovers and be happy. Of coarse I think if we all hooked up there would be a lot of houses made of fish tanks....well wait. That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all!
