HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah I added meth blue to a whole tank years ago lol, what a disaster!-)
Plan to net him today and do a 30 min meth blue bath, dab the lump with it directly and add the salt.
Netting him is gonna be fun, small Dovii Imo are one of the hardest fish to net.

Urrrgh, missus only got enough salt for 250g... Only 1kg of api salt... Will that be enough as I'm thinking I've only got about 280g of water to water line....?
If not I can free up a 35g and get him in there?

What the he'll!!! How much if I want it from a UK supplier, rip off...
Octozin contains metro...

Netted him, destroyed my 300's aquascape in the process lol...
he went in for 30min meth blue bath, done 90% wc on the 35g (125l) and cleaned the filter, added 5 tbls of salt and dosed with metro (Octozin)...
That's about the best I can do atm, doesn't look happy at all in there but he is only 6 inch, probably less tbh so it's big enough as a quarantine imo.
I'm guessing I leave him in there until he looks better now then?

yup, run a full course.

Yeah that's the plan, hopefully he does alright. Best to treat early I guess rather than waiting till he doesn't eat like the op.
Thanks pops, and others!-)

He is looking much better, lump has gone right down and is hardly noticeable!-)

my jag had the same ulcer in her mouth when she was younger. It worried me greatly . After reading the forums doing some research I tried this .... I soaked everyone's food with metro and 3 % Epsom salt solution. fed this to the whole tank for 7 days. I also vacuum gravelled every 2 days with a 30 % water change ( added aquarium salt accordingly) changed all the foam/ polyester batting and cleaned out my sump really well. I also pulled the temp down a few degrees ( 77 I believe ) this worked wonderfully and I started to see her heal up within three days. however they did not like the altered pellets so I had to go pick up garlic guard and add that to the mix before they would eat it.
