Sigh, my 5" arowana doesnt wanna eat the hikari food sticks for carnivores i got specially for him... wasted my money and im worried for him. when i first got it i managed to see it eat 1 guppy and 1 catfish. now it isnt eating anything :( how? :(

titus.. give it some time.. aros will not take to pellets immediately.. i suggested you feed it with the krill in the previous thread.. its not a waste of money.. usually the first bag atleast half of it goes waste tryin to train them to eat pellets.. jus drop five pellets and half of the portion of krill you give your aro.. it will take some time..dont give up..

relax ... some aros have to adapt to their new tank first before taking any feeder and yes u should train ur silver to take pellets, they prefer live or frozen feeder.
like u said, ur silver is still swimming around ur tank ... tats adapting process
cheers

give up the pellets for the time being and feed them lives/frozen, he will accept pellets when he wants to, which is mine happened when he was like 7-8 inches.
and no ur money not wasted buying the pellets, he will eat it just not right now

thanks guys! singapore doesnt have krill available so the closest i can get would be the glass shrimp or brine shrimp. he loves brine shrimp but they're small! oh and here is the food sticks that i got for him!

Those are the same pellets I got for my little guy. He pulls them in his mouth, swims for a sec, then spits them back out. I switched to freeze dried krill, bloodworms, and crickets. Try different food selections and don't worry if he won't eat it. They're picky eaters when they're young.
