HELP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The way I've done it is bag em up as if a lfs would and pop em in the freezer for 4hrs.

FH are genetically weaker generally, some can live 8-10 yrs most die around 3. It all comes down to how careful the breeder was to avoid in breeding. That's why I laugh when people pay hundreds of dollars for large FH, you just don't know what's gonna happen.
Their best chance is to keep them alone and never mix nets or cross contaminated tools, any disease can end them.

I’ve read the nicer the fish the faster they die.

This was him a couple years ago. Looks pretty inbred if you ask me. But I don’t know what im talking about

That sucks. Yeah they don't live long. Only spend big money on them if used for breeding. Otherwise enjoy the cheaper ones. They all have good personalities

Personally I think these fish need new genes, breed flowerhorn to other cichlids ,not to other flowerhorns, this way we improve their genetics and lifespan

I think so. I have an empty 150 and the only fish I want in it is a flowerhorn because its not suitable to be planted. I just have to find the right fish. Thanks for all the help.
