So when lookinf for a ray your not supposed to see one with protruding pelvic bones showing or a hollow dent in its forehead....what do those signs mean?

That it either hasn't been fed well or it is a very poor eater. And always if you are going to purchase a ray ask to see it eat!

ive had him for like 4 months, and i feed him 3 times a day, abd vary his diet....should i feed him more???

I would worry about parasites.....if you are feeding him that much and still not putting on any weight I would probably try a prazi pro treatment. But some of the other pros may have other ideas.

Im going to switch up his diet tomorrow im goign to the store and im going to buy some shrimp, and squid, and scallops should I just put them in regular though, or cut them up. Obviously with the shrimp take ths tail and stuff off.

Try earth worms/night crawlers... rays LOVE them. But yea....if you feed the ray 3times a day it should be plump and healthy... i feed my motoro pup 2times a day and she is a lil fatty

Sooo you might want to keep an eye on it droppings and make sure its not mucosy and stringy.... and i would def. prolly treat with prazi....

how big is the ray and how much r u feeding 3 times a day?

yeah I'm also curious on how much you feed during each feeding and what you are feeding. remember rays can put down alot of food. so are you feeding it till it wont eat anymore or whats going on?
