No such thing as king henlei in my eyes
One looks much like the other to me
Just a name added to kick up the price

^^Thats like stating that a large spot BD looks the same as a classic Leo. Sure they might all be Hens but "one looks like the other"

Here are three widely different looking very nice Henlei's.

Credits for pics go to FlamencoT, Aquaman and JohnG.

Thanks for the replies and lotsa thanks for the pics!

I'm guessing time will tell then.

I agree with both arguments on this one. Yes, its still a Hen but with anything that cost money and has patterns there are grade quality.

So the "king" difference can show up with age/progression?

LOL!!! here ya go again !!! to say they don't look different is balderdash !!!!!! To pay more or less now that is up to a persons taste...Are ya cranky this morning????

God, I hate to agree with T1...but.... ( LOL)
The 'trade' seriously irks me on this kind of thing, although unlike T1, I also think this about the Leopoldi group

There are thought to be 2 distinct 'species' of Henlii, determined by their different mouth sizes and tooth structures.
Which is which?
Large mouth or Small mouth?
There are also more than 1 river source for them. There are different populations. There are grey ones and black ones, spots from white to yellow.....
Then the hobby trade, not knowing much about this, starts to add fancy adjectives like 'king' and 'royal' and 'galaxy' and inventing and reinventing nonsensical standards as it goes along, and it just becomes a huge mess. You cannot identify species by superficial characteristics, especially ones that can randomly change over time, such as the markings on any given ray.
You can't make this stuff up...oh wait.........yes you can......

The point I was making is just like Leos or Marbles, Hens patterns vary also. You have higher quality Hens just like Leos and Marbles. As for as paying more money for a personal pattern preference, that is up to the individual. I would pay more for either of the first two pics than I would for ANY P14, they do nothing for me. But that is my personal taste. Not disputing, location collection points or physical differences only personal superficial characteristics.
