Hephaestus carbo "Coal Grunter"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They are tough and grow relatively fast. Their aggression can be kind of random. They will leave all the fish in the tank alone except for a couple unlucky ones that they decide to "hate" and chase unrelentingly. I would be willing to bet they are one of the few fish that could hold their own against a mean Jardini.

Well, i know that they can't keep their own against a hungry Mbu... (should have known?)... cause mine ended up eating a couple and dismantling the other two!! bummer!! :(

Damn :(

There is a big one for sale near me, wondering if I should grab it...

Tell me about it. My coal grunter hated my new 8" Geophagus Brasilliensis and killed it. Btw my Coal Grunter is only 4". He leaves all the other fishes alone though
