Her hips don’t lie

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Epsom salt is basically a laxative Matt but sorry I couldn't advise specically about best usage with regards to rays. Here's one post mentioning about it:

Agree with Barrett, add epsom salt, it acts as a purgative agent.

Ok so it feels like there has not been much progress when I look at her and see how skinny she is still.

But I just reread this whole thread, and realized how far she has come since this all started. She went from only eating 2 live gs in a whole day, or even less, to now she eats 5-6 medium red worms at a time , and is now taking small frozen shrimps. I typically try to feed her 3-5 times a day to hopefully bring her back to health.

2 more days of the antibiotic treatment left.

I don’t want to pretend to understand what is going on with her but it looks like she has a mental deficiency of some sort. Exaggerated movement and still has a hard time with food that is dangled in front of her face. Hopefully that is just from her being sick rather than a permanent thing.

She is starting to look a fair bit better and just watching her patterns, I think she has grown since being in this little box.

I was not able to get any epsom salt yet. But I do however have nls hexsheild which has some in it. I have offered it a few times and still not sure if she has taken any of the pellets.

So today was the last day of the 10 day cycle of antibiotics. (I think ?). Either way whatever day it is, I put the last of the neoplex in her little box.

She is looking much better now, than I think she hassince she arrived. Still a bit skinny, but starting to plump up a bit. I am happy she is now eating frozen shrimp from the market. Look like ghost shrimp but some are more than double the size. I have been adding probiotics to the shrimp to hopefully help with her digestion. She isn’t quite eating on her own yet, but recognize the tongs as a food source. So I use this to my advantage and offer her pellets with them ?. She still hasn’t taken them yet. Soon enough, I hope....

Well I hope this will be a conclusion to this thread.

She is doing much better. Eating small amounts fairly regularly. I had a brilliant idea to stuff a shrimp with pellets. But the shrimp she is eating is so small I had to figure out how to do that. Pull the body away from the head and stuff nls pellet in the head part, fits perfect.

If she knocks the pellet free she isn’t eating it. If she spits out a full shrimp, she’s not eating it. If I move too fast, she’s not eating it. Such a princess, if she wasn’t so cute, I’d be tempted to give her a smack for being so picky. (Premonitions of my daughter coming in January, omg I hope she isn’t this picky lol).

Still trying to wean her off of, only eating from tongs. Not working quite yet. But hoping to get it before the end of the week so I can take her out of the box.

No more hips showing, not nearly as transparent as when she came, veins still visible but not protruding her skin anymore.

Glad to hear she is doing better. Congrats on getting her to eat.
While reading this I thought if she doesn’t have a name you could name her Madonna :-)

Good job, Matt. Hopefully she stays the course and keeps improving.
