Well I'm not allowed to have a dog or cat in my apartment but for some reason I got an ok for ferrets, so we adopted these two sweeties. Despite all the negative propaganda I'm finding these two to be fairly well behaved (or ferrets). The more mischievous of the two (the darker sable, still working on names) thinks my 5 year old Aidan is just fantastic .. double trouble.

Aww! I miss my ferret, their awesome pets. Your going to enjoy them so much! I'm happy for you.

Thanks, so far they are really fitting in very nicely, very polite, they respond to no (for a a moment :) ) one even goes back to the cage to do his business then comes back out to play. I don't know how someone could have given them up, it must have been tough

Aww, we had several groups (more like gangs...) of ferrets growing up. They were one of my all time favorite pets. They're cuties, and they will DEFINITELY be trouble on 4 legs!! Just wait till you start finding socks and underwear hidden just about anywhere they can fit it...

I think the "propaganda" comes from the fact that they do have somewhat of an odor, and some people don't handle them enough to keep them from being biters. Ours were all rescues, and we never had a problem with them except when they were young and still learning.

What propaganda? To my knowlege they are very good pets:confused:
well some people think that they are smelly "weasels" that bite all them time, but yeah as long as these guys are raised right and taught not to bite then they make GREAT pets, GOOD LUCK with them!! they are like little kittens who never grow up:)

Oh yah, just make sure to check your dirty laundry before tossing it in the washer, as that is a FAVORITE place for them to fall asleep...
