Here we go again PISSEd!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Water company flushed pipes to remove sediment and shocked it. Argh! So sorry for your loss. That really, really sucks.

Wow... Pissed is an understatement. I don't know what I would do... Where I live I don't even use dechlorinator for WC. Just straight tap water. I feel bad for you. You have a great collection.

The run-off of fire retardant into S. D. reservoirs led me to installing a 5-stage whole house filter system. I lost thousands of $ just from performing regular water changes during wild fire season. The fire retardant was listed as dangerous to aquatic life but, no warnings were ever issued whenever it was used near any SoCal water source.

can we find out about these ahead of time?
Our water district places these treatment announcements in our billing statements. The downside is that sometimes the work is done before we get the announcement because we're billed every three months. The only way to keep current on their maintenance is to monitor the website daily. I opted for the whole-house filter system instead of wasting my time monitoring the water dept website.

The water here in the greater avenues comes from city creek. There is a water treatment facility up the canyon. The water comes from the facility and gets held in a one million gallon holding tank at the top of the upper avenues. The tank is underground and it heats up during the summer and i have had problems with protozoan parasites coming in the tap water.

Dang sorry to hear man. i get sediment and chlorine over here. Deff need to filter water first

That's BS man! I would seriously lodge a claim for compensation!

I always wondered if anyone had successfully filed a claim and was compensated, probably depends on what chemical level was detected in water
