It's time for an update.
I sold the jaguar. He was getting too big for me. Used the free space to add more wood and plants. Here's what it looks like at the moment.

Love the fire eel! And water lettuce jungle as it was before was very neat. How did you get the roots so long? I quit pruning mine for two weeks to get more plants and it dropped all the roots! So were you pruning a number of adult plants?
My sailfin pleco loved the lettuce. He was scrubbing at the bulbs and the plants died one by one.
And here's the current state of the tank. The eels is dead. I sold both gars. I now have 16 torpedo barbs, 7 clown loaches, a huge green labeo and some SAE. JDs and delhezis are still there too.
