Hello Everyone.

Anyone familiar with this particular carpintis? I have a wild 7 inch breeding pair coming to me and I cant find much info on the fish, if any. The carpintis's several name are obviously from their location ie:

Lahillas

Chairel

Escondido

etc

It doesnt appear to be any of the above.

Anyone here have these fish or kept them before?

THanks!

I have chairel from Conkel and was told the two locations were literally like 300 yds apart. The two populations may have been the same some time ago. Very similar fish.

Clint~

You are correct, Ill make sure when I see Don on 11/9 at the GCCA Meeting.

Ok, well I will have them Saturday and post pictures as soon as I get them in the tank. Is your Chariel aggressive? how old and big is it?

Thank You

I don't remember how old it is, but it is about 7" give or take. It is male and had to take on every other fish in the tank when I first put it in. Between the midas and the flowerhorn, they shut him down pretty quickly. He gets along now with everyone as long as they leave his stump alone. Beautiful fish, absolutely glows under the right lighting.
