Not shy at all. Hangs at the glass and follows whoever walks by. Pretty responsive all in all.

:(

When I went to get the lahillas today they had ICH and were in a medicated tank at the store.

How long should I give the fish in the medicated tank before putting them in my tank?

Is there a certain length of time (lifecycle) for ICH? Ive never had to deal with it before.

Thanks!

I'd have to look it up again to be certain on the life cycle of ich, but you don't need meds to treat it. Slowly raise temp to 86+ and add salt. Do frequent water changes. Should be good in 7-10 days.

for the ich, just raise the temp up to about 84-85 and the ich should be gone in no time, you could always add aquarium salt if u want to.

How is the ich coming along? We NEED pics!

I heard from the store today and he said the fish were at the top of the tank wanting to eat and being active, so it sounds like its getting better. I left them there when I was at the store saturday. I had an hour drive to my house so I didnt want to cause them any more stress than they already had.

If everything seems fine on Friday night, Ill probably go down there and get them Saturday morning.

Would you guys leave them longer? just to make sure they didnt bring anything into the tank they are going in with other fish? I dont have a quarantine tank.

Thanks!
