From what I read, either Don or Ira.. But who got the ponds? Don Maybe?

i believe don does, because Ira doesn't have a pond, he keeps tons of fish tanks in the basement!
His F1 chariels look nice too.

So who has biggest Vontehillo on forum? My lives in a 75g with a king kong parrot and I don't find him growing. Maybe wild caught doesn't grow as large as tank raised?

yeah i don't know that's interesting observation because my tank bred ones are growing like weeds!! (like 2in and triple body height on my biggest one in 2mths iv had them, and i got them at a little over 1in i think)

They are gorgeous Jimmy, check your pm. They are beautiful, hardy and a hot item the f1s are catching on fast. Serious hobbists know a good thing when they see it regardless of the critics.


Here is an amazing male I got today from Ira. About 5-6", very aggressive, I highly recommend getting one. Thanks again Ira! I think its topped my "Escondido".

Pretyy fish, any idea where the are collected from, the wild caughts? You guys hve been dancing round that qestions for 8 pages...........just answer the question, silence the critics.

Whenever I hybridized my fish, the escondio/cyano I had been reading a lot on FH boards about the badass green texas mutts people were creating. If you do an image search for some of the hybrids, no way to tell anything about the lineage, they were awesome looking fish. Like these guys............

If that larger specimen is any example, they're great looking fish no matter what they are or where they come from.

It is concerning that it seems Ira's supplier told him he's the exclusive distributor but then released the fish to my LFS. If that's the case, that would be BS!
