Fantastic looking beani, I'd love to have some.
I'm too nervous on buying some, I'm not sure what's the truth about their bloat issue. Lots of air to avoid bloat or cold temperature?

Check out my post on page 2 when I answered "Ehh's" question. But I will add this...
Bloat is caused by stress; not temperature fluctuations or lack of oxygen, or even protein.
The key to avoiding a beani to bloat and in turn develop hex or SBD is to avoid stress of any kind.
Once they are too stressed out, their immune system lowers and then the parasites take over.
Therefore, the best way to prevent bloat is to raise a beani by itself. Then having clean water and good filtration/aeration will help as well.
