Het for Leucistic?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
"had babies" - No way he incubated eggs successfully. And the others are correct - you can not visually determine a het under MOST circumstances. (Apparently you can determine the het red axanthics, but that's about it.)
Nice normal snake! Let's just hope it's het for something.

I think leucistic in ball pythons is co-dominant. Scroll down on this page to see a comparison of het-leucistics and normals.

thanks guys.

the only het i know there are markers for.. are yellowbellys, having seen one compared to a normal.

whether hes a normal or het for leucistic or ivory or whatever lol, hes still my little baby (possibly the favourite!)

thanksa alot guys.

It doesn't look like a 'fireball' to me. These are one of the more visually different looking 'hets'.

Look similar?
Let me know what you think!

IMPO, I wouldn't say so, I have seen no solid proof on these "Markers" even being real, besides het Red, And some even consider "het reds" to be a morph of its own, Somewhat the same as a pastel would be? Im not fully up to date with BP morphs, but from talking with some of the biggest Canadian BP breeders, the general opinion, is.. Het markers, are at best hit and miss..

If they say lots of yellow blushing is het for Lucy,
there will be ALOT of people claiming there BP is het lucy,
"Normals" can go from a Nice yellow blush, to a muddy brown,

tho if yours is het lucy, you... got lucky as hell :D

LOL, It was an example Davo.I know its probably not.

I dont think it looks similar... but... a one of the VERY LARGEST ball python breeders, sold all his hets as "normals" this past season, in order to make some $$$$ and move them out. So there are alot of "normals" around that are het for ALBINO, CLOWN, PIEBALD, and OTHERS that mixed with plain normals (so you might just never know)...I cant give out names, but it was the only way he would be able to move out huge quantity of snakes, in a short period of time.
