wow what a sweet guy... what a face on that biggggg puppy.. so adorable.. and looks like your other dogs love him too.. do you have any englis bull terriors anymore..
nah that white bully in the pic with my lab time ago is my best mates, but they have moved about 70miles away so the pup hasnt had a chance to play over there yet.... the staffy is 7mnths n the yorkie is 18mnths there abouts n also my other friends dogs... took the puppy rnd for lil play session the other day... all went really well.... and yes jess the lab loves bear when he isnt trying to bite her face or bum, lol lil sod...
That's a huge puppy, and he grew fast! He's going to be gorgeous with that coat and head shape. I'd never be able to own one of these, I'm too small. Good luck with him, it sounds like you have your hands full, or they will be soon.
cheers guys, yeap i named him Bear and ta Liz i think i suits him perfect too.... yeap @ 10 weeks he already wa he was at 7.... ut oh, lol....
He is on a diet of all natural human grade ingredients n im making it up on the daily but hope it is goin to pay off, im not looking for him to be an absolute monster oversized dog but a good size caucasian with good agility would be nice. he is from Hungarian working lines not a big oversize show or domestic bloodline...
here is a pic of his dad borris i would be delighted if Bear looks like his daddy when he is big....
as for training, im not exactly dumb on the subject i have newfies trained as water rescue dogs, my uncle is or rather was one of top newfie breeders in the country n trained champion rescue dogs for most his life, my mum is a gsd breeder n proficient schutzhund trainer and competitor, and i have experience around gun dogs n training to retrieve and tracking.....
If all goes well Bear will be my first schutzhund dog i would look for him to reach Competition level if he takes to it ok.... his drive is phenomenal and for those who understand what i mean u have never met a harder puppy....
his inelegance is pretty awesome too... now at 10weeks he has a good grasp on the basics. he understands: yes no and good. he follows: sit, come and down commands. and is we are starting a basic introduction to the place command. That said this is all i will teach him till six months of age. i dont believe in corrections on young puppies who havent got any sense of rite and wrong. and i dont believe in overtraining puppies. the only over work i will do is very basic prey n drive work with him, basically advanced puppy play.... nothing stressful not prolonged games of tag or constantly taking toys away from him... its all about the basics for now... good fundamentals lead to a healthy engaged dog later on...
