Yeah it's a bit of a sticky wicket. While they are hybrids, midevels have always been considered more of a CA than the other crosses. They are sold so often as either a Lab or a Cit as in this case we see them all the time over here.
 
Nice lil guy you got there ..i got mine around that size and it had a nice size bump now but since i put the female rd in with it kinda went down. .. heres some pics of him and the female rd ..there protecting. There eggs

Not necessarly the OP wasn't just showing a picture of his fish, he was also asking about the peeling process and wether or not it was normal. Thank you though for your concern, I put it where I thought it should be.

LOL There's nothing funnier than watching experts argue amongst themselves around us common folk- They usually come to the same conclusions after changing their minds a few times. Don't let it get to you- You were in the right spot and some questions are better addressed with pics- If they want to move it 3 times- it's their prerogative let them.
