obviously thats why im on this site to ask for help!! i just got 7 baby rbp!!. i only have bloodworms to feed at this moment, am i suppose to feed them bloodworms?? the rbp kills it when it drops into the tank!

Make your own thread and let's discuss all your issues/concerns. Sounds like we've got alot of work to do here. Personally, i'm curious as to why your bloodworms are even alive and not the frozen cubes

what do you have for lights on your tank? i really like the effect of it.

I also like the effect with some damp lighting and i use only a simple spotlight for that.
But i also have MH lighting for the plants.

Thanks for delivering on the request for a feeding video!

No problem hope you like it no rat or Koi :)..

After a mouth keeping my rbp i have discovered that they are on the hunting about 10 a clock at night,,
They are tearing in at every thing i feed them at that time.
Do you guys have the same experience?

I feed them once in the morning before i go to work and once when i get home and then at 10.

they probably figured out that's the last meal of the day and try to take in as much as they can. mine would just destroy everything I put in the tank but I feed only once a twice a week at random time so they just try to make the best out of every feeding since they won't know when will be the next feeding

Yeah, i don't feed that often either. I feed my reds maybe twice a week and the baby rhom 3 times a day. Haven't been feeding the reds multiple times a day since they were 5-6 inches. My feeding schedule is also random. I feel it helps for when i leave town i don't have to worry about them eating each other because a scheduled meal was missed

Mine are about 5" now so still small thats way i try to feed them as much as possible now when they still grow in a fast rate.

Mine have pretty well figured out that if they don't get fed within the first hour or two of the light being on they won't get anything that day since I have been weening them off getting fed everyday. Epic difference in how much food im cleaning out of the tank. Normally if they get anything after breakfast it is part of my dinner and small so they follow it up by the "mom were hungry we want more" routine.
