HI gallantz hehe you always come to the rescue its ok hope other members woulp voice their opinions thanks anyway always appreciate and value your opinion:):):oops:but im still hoping to save them all huhu:(:(:(:(:(

since not all affected maybe you can try separate them so at least it will not spread?

and since you added meds, let it run it course before trying another cure.. if not, the fish will over stress and die....

problem with most people, including me, is they try to look for quick cure by using various ways in double quick time and that actually kills the fish faster

now, i see any issue i just add salt, do more water changes, add more salt, and wait....

1 of my bichir having fin rot too.. :(

oh thats sad to hear thats the prob my tank is 327g with lots of caves and hiding places it would be next to impossible to catch those 5 and besides the parasite is in the whole tank atleast thats what they tell me and also what ive read so might as well treat them at the main tank ive added 150 teaspoon of salt over the span of 4 days and during the first 3 days i used metlyene blue now switched to oceanfree white spot special i think the prob was not enough heat because up to now only had 1 300 wats heater in there i just added another 300 watts hopefully it does the trick:(:(:(

eh... you have thermometer to measure the temp?

for salt i will treat whole tank... for medication i will treat only the fish that is affected, partly because more cost effective lol, while using salt for the main tank

used to have its busted so do u think 2 300watts heater is enough someone once told me that having too much heat will make cichlids aggresive so im also trying to avoid that lost 4 big sevs to that 3 6" green severums and 1 8" rotkiel died of wounds and infection treated them using api meds for sores to no avail the rotkiel looked like he was gona live through his wound were already clotting has started to have scales again then he just suddenly dropped stopped swimming next thing i know he was upside down:(:(:(
