the reason i was putting half ose med was because the lfs who sold me this med told me to put every other day not everday so i figured if i do everday then i should just put half sorry this is my first time dealing with ich im still a newbie to this hobby
Hello; I am not familiar with the medication you are using. It may be that folks at the lfs know about the medication and that their advice of adding a full dose every other day is correct. That you have decided to do things a different way without any experience seems risky. There may be very good reasons for a full dose every other day and your one half dose each day may not work as well. It is your option to second guess any advice but I fail to see the logic in what you are doing.
the total teaspoon ive added is 270 of salt i realize this is the critical stage and plan to add another 30 teaspoon tonight after work to raise salt to 300 teaspoon my tank is 327g so tom morning il add another 27 would that be enough
Hello; Again you are changing things from the way advice about adding salt has been given. This creeping up to the proper dose does not make any sense. Read duanes post on this again. The salt level needs to be at a proper level right away. I do not think this slowly adding salt over many days is of any benefit.
One last thing. It is my understanding you should pick one of three methods to treat the ich.
One method is heating up the water with no salt or meds.
A second method is heat up the water with salt.
A third method is heat up the water with a store bought medication.
That you are using both salt and a medication at the same time is what I am not so sure about.
I get the feeling you are in a state of panic right now. let me suggest that you try to get as clam as possible and take you time reading thru this thread again slowly.
Do a search about this parasite to get a more broad understanding.
