This is Conintuation of the Central Taiwan Biotope thread. It has changed so much that I feel it should get its own thread.
Tank stats:
Size: 120cm x 45cm x 55cm (48" x 18" x 22")
Volume: 297L or 79.2gal ( I treat it as a 75gal)
Filter: AE stainless steel canister with fluid sand bed filter rated for a 500L tank.
Flow: 1 x 18,000L/hr (4800gal/hr) circulation pump, 1 x 3500L/hr (933gal/hr) power head through 2 filters
Lighting: 1 x 120cm- (48"), 20W, 13000K, single strip LED shop light with clear cover
Stock:
5 x Leoporinus ortomaculatus
5 x Leporinus granti
4 x Anostomus ternetzi
3 x Nemacheilus longistriatus
2 x clown loaches (looking to move them but just can't catch them)
The tank is designed to flow in a circular vortex. After numerous river/stream tank setups, this has proven to give me the best bang for my pump buck in terms of unidirectinal flow. Water flows along the back wall, Left --> Right, filter outlet adds in here, it circles to front glass and then flows right--> left along front glass. It is designed to look like a snag at the end of a set of rapids.
The flow does not seem to be noticed by the anostomus or leporinus. The clown's however are starting to feel it. Hence me wanting to move them.
