Not a good idea. KISS is the way to go. Might as well get rid of your test kits while you're at it.
 
Do not mess with it. I've got a ph of 8.5 and a high kh. I've tried many experiments with acid to lower it and it allways bounces back to 8.5 within days. r/o and tap wll lower but be prepared to get an r/o unit that will do 100 gallons a day. All rays will adjust to the high ph even the most sensitive ones.
