High tech 40b progression

Looks good, going to build one of those reactors semisoon. Been using the ista that dr fosters sell which works great but is a pain to prime after doing a wc which means its usually noisy for a day or two.

Thats no good. These rex grigg style reactors are nice. No priming atleast with a xp3. Be sure to use 2" pvc & a minimum of 20" long (minimum of 2 feet for tanks over 50-60gals) from all the research i did thats the key! Tapped the co2 about 1/3rd from the top. i cranked co2 up to uncountable bbs for a few minutes and barely any visible bubbles to the naked eye. Crazy efficient for 14$ (assuming you already have pvc primer and glue) & a day of elbow grease (includes drying)

Almost blew 60$ on a Atomic reactor from GLA..... Phew

Wait, I just realized something silly. Why on earth is that lace your foreground? lol

I really like the progression of your plants man, and I see you got some C. furacata too...I really love its coloring. That Neseae is still alive it seems, how is it growing for you?

Lol i know not the best option but i didnt realize it was going to be a monster! Plus it was one of the last plants i put in because when my supplier finally got it in (weeks after expected) i had no where else. Even if it was a backround plant it will still take over a 40b plus my striolatus piranha loves to take cover under it! Im to afraid to move it cuz ive seen horror stories of it not re rooting and thus dying after a move.

The Neseae has been great, slow grower but new leaves. Like my posts above i have had weak co2 till i made the rex grigg reactor so it should help everything grow better as for the furacata it is one of my faves, love how it is reddish pink on the tops and changes thru the height, very interesting plant.

Thanks for the compliment.

BTW last night i considered turning the tank around so the lace was my backround plant lol. I may rescape soon.

Crazy thing is ive NEVER used a root tab, just dry ferts diluted in distilled water but the trick (i think) i use is to dose them dry 1x per week and i think it settles into the substrate thus the roots have food?

What's behind the furacata? it looks like there isn't really anything so I'd move the lace there. I've also never had much of an issue moving a lace within a tank....moving between tanks is a bit of a different story but it does grow back.

Thr only prpblem with that is it will cover it and the furacata may not get enough light? My wc is due this evening so i will make the choice, just worried about moving my precious plant!

That black background is a great addition, really makes the plants pop out.
Watch out for Tilapia, they are plant destroyers.
The only ones I've been able to keep plants with, are the Lake Barumbi mbo planktivorous Tilapines like Sarotherodon linnelli or predatory Stomatepia, and even they keep my tasty plants like Vallisneria mowed. They do seem to leave plants like Crypts alone though.
