Lets look at the ingredients of both that I am using at the moment:
Nls cichlid formula: whole Antarctic krill meal, whole herring meal, whole wheat flour, algae meal, beta carotene, spirulina, garlic, vegetable and fruit extract, ginseng, vitamin a acetate, dl al-phatocophero (e), d-activated animal-sterol (d3), vitamin b12 supplement, niacin, folic acid, biotin, thiamine, riboflavin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, calcium pantothenate, l-ascorby-2-poly phosphate (stable c), choline chloride, ethylenediamine dihydroiodide, cobalt sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate.
No added hormones
Hikari sinking cichlid gold: fish meal, wheat flour, brewers dried yeast, flaked corn, wheat bran, gluten meal, fish oil, rice bran, garlic, dl-methionine, astaxanthin, choline chloride, vitamin e supplement, l-ascorbyl-2-poly phosphate (stabilised vitamin c), inositol, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, vitamin a oil, thiamine mono nitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, niacin, menadione sodium bisulfate complex ( source of vitamin k), folic acid, vitamin d3 supplement, biotin, disodium phosphate, ferrous sulfate, magnesium sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, cobalt sulfate, calcium iodate, red 3*, yellow 5*. (*artificial colors)
I know it's not massivore but still the ingredients don't lie. Once the hikari is finished I will be using nls exclusively!
