Does anyone know how cold of water they can take?
I have pondered these guys for my goldfish tank before. The goldfish are in a 70 gallon tank that is in an enclosed and insulated but unheated porch. The water temps get up to about 70 in the summer and are currently at about 35F.
I have debated bringing them into the house to keep the lower limits at 55 but they spawn every time I raise the temps over 45, which makes me want to put them that cold every winter.
Can a hill stream loach deal with 35, or would I need to bring the tank in and keep its lower limit at 55 if I had them?
