Ran into a little problem with the custom background i made for the tank.... going to boot it for now.

Plumbing is up and running!!! Two pumps running about 900 gph each (adjusted for head) both set on a WiFi outlet so I can turn them on and off from my phone. Going to have to do something better with the plumbing to tank entry, there is too much splash. Also, the water coming from the tap was suuuper cold so I haven’t started scaping yet. Still have so much to do, finishing the doors, running a sump overflow, buying livestock (easier said than done), working up the lighting, etc.

It's a shame the background interferes with the overflow plumbing.

You may be able to use a diamond tipped blade on a sawzall to notch out that section and then smooth it out a bit with similar tools so it would fit.

Looking good. A easy little chisel and hammer fix.

Yeah, it just wasn’t worth the trouble. It would have taken thirty days before I could even think about putting fish in and it took up a lot of space. For now I’m just sticking with the regular gravel, rocks, maybe some wood....

Looking real nice Kansas.
I would just paint the top tank background black to match the bottom. Save space, time and money.
For the splashing on the intake, could you not just add 2 90°( 1 high and 1 low). The water cascading into tank 2 and the sump should add more than enough agitation and aeration.

Can't wait to see the scaping come along.
