very nice liz, love the gravel combos you got in your tanks!

is that oscar in the 3rd pic on the first page still in that tiny tank?
Thank you..

He was out of the tank and and into the 125 gal and doing very well ..he had many scars on his head from the HITH but he ate like crazy.. but in time he seemed less interested in food and after awhile he seemed to be weaker and it looked like the HITH was coming back.. so now there is a last ditch effort to help him again.. we really should not be going this far with him..you have to put him by himself in smaller tank so you can medicate ...so we added medicine again and as long as he is eating and not in pain we will continue to try and save him.. we have spent over $100 dollars on medicine for him..we are trying another new one now that i read about on here.. i doubt if we can save him but we will continue to try as long as he seems like there is no suffering.

Here is a picture of our rescue.. you can see all the scars from the past HITH.. we know he definitly would not be here if he did not receive the constant medicine treatments because he had HITH so bad. Have to keep trying...

I hope your loaches will be okay too... went through that once when we did not quarenteen and added a fish.. the whole tank had ICK in a week.. always with out fail ..keep the new one separate for at least two weeks.. we lost a few clowns and a couple rainbows but thankfully everyone else made it.. salt and high temps.. yes this Oscar boy is in rough shape.. but he ate again this am so i know he is feeling okay..but i quess one of these days the disease will take him over unless something we do changes drastically.. we have been doing this over a year now.. we think we have it licked and as soon as we put him in big tank ..he stresses and gets it back..

Anyone have advice please let me know..if i have not already tried it i will try anything new..not much to lose so i will try what ever an expert thinks.. ;)

I solved two cases of HITH (one was pretty bad) By keeping the water as clean as you possibly can and varying the diet. I also removed all carbon from filters, but I dont know if that made any difference at all. I really didnt do anything special to cure it. You can't even see the scars of the HITH now. I'll try to get some before and after pix up later.

KILLER room by the way:D

Thanks Levi....

We have been doing constant water changes for the past year.. 2x's sometimes 3xs a week.. and i feed him everything he will eat.. we have saved a few others but in this guys case i think he has it so severe.. {inside him} that it is really doubtful we will cure him.. i think the only thing we have accomplished is extending his life.. which is very good . ...since he had all this time to still eat and hangout.. but i would love to see pictures and know that just possibly there is still hope.. Yours is a very nice fish room too.. so comfortable looking.. thanks again..;)
