For the most part yeah but they do conduct DNA tests, set camera traps and set out on searches. In the episode with the squids they managed to film a squid thought to be over 80' or so (cannot remember exactly, a big squid regardless). Why that never got any press is beyond me.

I noticed that, I bet the show dosen't get much funding for things like travel. The show is produced in Minnesota I believe, lots of their stories seem to come from that area in particular.
 
I thought the show was ok.

That guy said that he saw a Lake Trout that was like 12 feet. He must have been on some crazy hallucinogens:ROFL:

The show really made me want to take a trip to that lake in Canada and do some fishing though.
