HITH... is it dead?

The holes in the Jag are tiny and symmetrical, and I can't see clearly the hole in the JD pic. They don't look HITH to me, and if they are healing, they are probably not HITH as HITH holes are not easy to reverse. Typical HITH holes in grown Geos and Oscars are larger, irregular, not symmetrical and tend to center on top of the head. I can't say with 100% certainty that HITH can never occur in CAs or Africans. Personally, having kept Africans and American cichlids for 30 years, I've never experienced nor read about HITH in non Amazon Basin fish.

Nystatin is diaper rash cream and may be worth to try if it sticks.

Jags are prone to hith if charcoal is used in the filter, always what I have been told.

Personally, having kept Africans and American cichlids for 30 years, I've never experienced nor read about HITH in non Amazon Basin fish.

I have a P. polleni that to this day still wears the scars from a severe case of HITH.
