Yes i do, she is my grandpas first wife then he married my real grandma(In our tradition men can marry more than 1 wives). My real grandma passed away when i was 2 years old so i looked up to my step grandma as a real grandma, but as i grew older i realized she didnt really like her step grandchildren as much as her real step children(which i totally understand). But to the point, i do love her a little because of the things she do.
 
Some people are being really insensitive in this thread. Joking to try to cheer the OP up, whatever, but once he shows that it offends him, STOP.



SM, you're a hero, and she's crazy for not realizing that.
 
Ultimately, being a fireman is just like being a soldier, you put your own life on the line to save others. If anything, the fact that pay's not great should just prove even more that it's a noble profession. Saving lives and not getting paid much for it? Those are the heroes. If your step-grandma is too ignorant to see that, then it's her loss.
 
Yeah, it really sucks when someone you love and look up to puts down your dream. Don't let her bitterness drag you down. Firefighting is a noble career with lots of room for advancement and for a bonus, a lot of women go gaga over firefighters. :headbang2

dude, our job is a great job. if it was so bad why is it so hard to get it? its a highly sought after job. when i got mine(class was 120) over 2500 people applyd. We get payd half decent but the public doesnt actaully appreciate us. Govn makes mistaks with budgets and then use us to fix thier budget short falls.

all in all our job is great. send her my way. we will stick her on out busyist ambo and then we will see if she doesnt appreciate our job.

oh and our pentions are nice!! take awhile to get and wont do unless u also have good savings for when u retire but it is nice

My parents? If so, yes!

They support me all the way! They were the one who paid for my college and fire academy. On top of that my turnout gear, boots, and books. 110% supportive. :)
