HOB filter as a overflow box?

Epoxy would have been the choice, but I was unsure if it was fish safe. You are probably right about the silicone. Even when it sticks at first it often fails on plastic...I would like to give this a shot also...

Most epoxy is inert when it cures (given that it's mixed properly).

It's a 2 part "glue" that drys chemically. It cures very quickly and is usually extremely strong.

yes, or any auto parts store. Just to be safe, check with the manufacture to make sure it's safe for drinking water once it's cured.

PVC would be easiest and cheapest.
 
what dimater do i need i want to have about 500gph for good bio filtration.
