As a wife, I can say that we do not need to be tricked. Honestly, this doesn't have to be a top-secret operation. I'm sure she spends money on stuff. You spend money on stuff. There's no need for all of the secrecy. Or, maybe there is. But most likely, no.

I love buying filters, especially nice-looking ones. If it were up to me, I'd have the Marineland C-530, just because Marineland makes hot-looking filters. I have 3 of their C-360's. They work great. And this one just came out! But I don't need it. At all. So, I'm just trying to figure out where to put that new tank (and it's new canister filter).

Wasnt trying to be secretive just thought I could use it on this tank to be the best it could, but yeah after getting involved did see that I can use somethings on another tank later,

works for me. When I had my recent surgery I was sitting down for a week But my girl even did water changes for me when it stretched to two weeks that was pretty cool.

As for the initial question. Kens fish makes super cheap cartridges for your filters... like a 1.50. Ive never used them though so maybe someone else can shed some light on that and maybe it will work for you.
