hob filters on tank sides?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Look I know it won't work with every tank or even for everyone.doubt it even worth it if you have a short tank.but a 4' long n longer could definitely benefit from filter on ends. The pickup is less noticeable on sides, way better current throughout whole tank without having to buy a powerhead ect. I just thought it might help someone out or give them a idea or to just plain think outside the box a lil bit.filters on the ends of a long tank if your using hob filters just make sense to me. Having to buy a powerhead to circulate half of a tank that your filter should be doing doesn't make sense to me. If your all worried about seeing a lil of your filter on the sides n would rather see your fish shake his lil *** with his back to you then put em on the back where you think they should go!

As for the glass lids they bow as well if you buy thick enoph plexi than you don't have to worrie as much about the bowing and it is heavier than most glass lids so it keeps the jumpers in better as well as being shater resistant. And for the no front access you still have it it just opens to the side.
